The coolant refractometer has a measurement range for ethylene glycol of -60°C - 0°C, propylene glycol of -50°C – 0°C, and a range for battery fluids of 1.100 – 1.400 sg.
The coolant refractometer is used to measure and control the concentration of coolant in various kinds of fluids. A small amount of a solution is inserted into the unit, and once the plastic cover is closed, the coolant content is revealed by looking through the lens. The unit can be calibrated as needed using the adjustment screw.
The coolant refractometer is ideal for testing coolant concentrations in a variety of industrial applications, which utilize engine and battery-operated machinery, and for ensuring that fluids are neither too rich nor too lean in order to maximize efficiency.
