We apologize for the confusion and understand that it seems its contradicting but in fact its not. The light does have a motion sensor but the light is not considered motion activated because the motion sensor does not activate the light to turn on. Motion Activated means that the light turns on when motion is detected but in this light fixtures case when motion is detected it gets brighter. The fixture automatically turns on at dusk and illuminates at 150 lumens, when motion is detected it will illuminate at the full 1000 lumens for 30 seconds. This fixture does have an option to stay at a constant brightness for the first 1 or 2 hours either at 500 or 1000 lumens and then it will go into that dim lighting mode i just explained until dawn when it will automatically turns off.

Hello Chuck, thank you for your question! Unfortunately, it is not possible. The main reason behind this is due to the fact that the power consumption of the light, staying at high brightness for overnight use is too high. Even if the light had a function to do so, it would only be able to run on full brightness for one night, and for the current charging rate, the Light can only operate for a couple of hours again on the second day. Even if every day is 100% bright and sunny.

They can be mounted on a post, however, the top of the post must be flat. As you can see in the photos the base of the unit is flat and has 4 holes so you can screw the light in place. Many of our customer use these on top of wooden fence posts.

At the moment we do not offer this light in multi-colors. Only soft-white is available.

The spike already has threads on it so you would screw the actual spike into the rest f the steam of the solar landscape light. The entire stem and spike are made out of aluminum alloy and not cheap plastic so its guaranteed to be very sturdy.

DEELAT offers a remote controlled solar powered light, in fact this solar light fixture is a remote controlled solar powered light. The remote control for this solar light is a little over 6 meters and the cable length from the solar panel to the actual light fixture is roughly 3.5 meters.

The dim light during the motion mode is 150 lumens and its brightness is about the equivalent of a 15W incandescent light bulb. Its just bright enough to see but will certainly not bother the neighbors. It will stay at 150 lumens until motion is detected and then will illuminate at full brightness of 500 lumens for about 30 seconds and then will dim back to 150 until motion is detected again.

Its hard to answer that question because it differs with everyone. It really depends on the location you are installing the solar security light. The key is to install the panel where it will get the most sunlight meaning try to install the panel where it will get hit by direct sunlight with no obstruction for the longest period.

This solar light does have a few different lighting modes. 1. You turn on unit by pressing the light button till indicator light turns on. 2. the default setting is indicated by a Red Indicating Light which means it is in M1 mode with is dim 10% brightness + PIR 100% brightness till dawn. 3. If you click the button one more time it will switch the indicator to a Green Indicating Light which is M2: dim 30% brightness + PIR 100% brightness till dawn. 4. Hold down button again until the indicator light is off to completely turn off unit.

This Solar Light has a waterproof rating of IP65. Which means it is weatherproof. The light cannot be submerged but will be able to withstand all normal elements such as dust, dirt, rain, snow, etc. The lights have also be salt tested and can certainly withstand sea spray.

Unfortunately the motion sensor cannot be replaced with a timer. The light has a lux meter which automatically turns the unit on and off based on sunset and sunrise timing.

f there is heavy snow and it covers the entire solar panel then yes it will certainly affect the charging of the battery. It will slow down the charging speed. The panel is recommended to me installed at an angle to avoid large snow build ups. Extremely cold temperatures can also affect the charge time.

The solar security light will not be allowed to be on a plane due to the light fixture containing a Li-ion Battery. Airlines list li-ion batteries as a dangerous good.

We do not recommend to bury the post of the light as it can begin to corrode because of the soil.

This light has 2 modes: (1) 100% brightness of 300 Lumens, then 15% brightness of 45 Lumens till morning; and (2) 100% brightness of 300 Lumens for 5 hours, then 15% brightness of 45 Lumens, and finally 100%.

T1 through T4 are timing functions. For example, if you choose 100% light for 1 hour, then press T1. After 1 hour the light will go back to the default mode M1.

The concrete slab seems heavy and strong enough to hold the pole in place. However, you will still want to secure the slab into the ground by anchoring it somehow. Strong winds could still blow it over if not secured properly.
